Our company started in 1964 as a “Two Man Operation” and we celebrated the 50th anniversary in 2014. Our business has grown significantly since the early days. Today, led by Director Hugh Simpson, we are the largest crane hire and heavy lifting services company based in Caithness.
Our business is about people and long-term relationship with them. Our company is family-run in its third generation. We aim to maintain the same personal, trustworthy and reliable service we have been providing our customers since the beginning over 50 years ago.
We are continually investing and innovating so that we not only meet the expectations of our customers, but also are a step ahead to meet the challenges of always developing industry requirements. Presently we have a fleet of mobile cranes with lifting capacities from 2,8 tons to 500 tons.
We offer our customers one- off crane hire, full project management or a contract lift solution on any scale and we pride ourselves for the first- class customer experience, high quality and diverse expertise. Our competent staff will advise you on the safest and most reliable solution regardless of the size of the job. We will plan the lifting operation and produce necessary Method statements and risk assessments to enable the operations are executed in a safe and controlled manner. We employ certified and experienced lift/ crane supervisors, crane operators and slingers/ signallers.
We also have a large fleet of standard vehicles, forklifts, access equipment offering cost effective assistance to our clients by loading, transporting and offloading their goods to their requirements. We offer a range of specialist haulage options from our own fleet.
Our dedicated maintenance team works to ensure all vehicles, cranes and plant are submitted to rigorous safety inspections and maintenance schedules. This allows us to keep our cranes available for our clients who can be assured that we will deliver a safe lift every time.
