Hugh Simpson (Contractors) Ltd unloaded pipes (18 m long with 1524 mm outer diameter, each pipe 12 tons) from a marine vessel Lady Ariane, which arrived in Wick Harbour on 27/06/2019. Two cranes were set up, fitted with vacuum lift units to unload pipes on to the quay or directly onto the lorry for transportation to customer site.
On the quay we use Dhatec pipe storage system. This system can be easily adjusted to different pipe diameters and is completely safe to store pipes until further transportation to their final location.
