Hugh Simpson (Contractors) Ltd unloaded 90 pipes (18 m long with 1524 mm outer diameter, each pipe 12 tons) from marine vessel Fluvius Plym, which arrived in Wick Harbour on 19/06/2019. Two cranes were set up, fitted with vacuum lift units to unload pipes on to the quay or directly onto the lorry for transportation to customer site.
On the quay we use Dhatec pipe storage system. This system can be easily adjusted to different pipe diameters and is completely safe to store pipes until further transportation to their final location.
