Hugh Simpson (Contractors) Ltd unloaded 76 pre fabricated concrete beams from MV BBC Marmara at Scrabster harbour.

The vessel carried in total 76  beams which were each between 7 and 24 m long and weigh between 3.4 and 43.3 Ton.

Our approach

• Beams were discharged with the 350T crane and loaded onto a lorry
• One beam was lifted and transported at a time
• Once discharged from the vessel the beam was transported to a temporary storage area.
• Unloading in tandem lift (100 and 130T cranes)
