We have recently reconstructed our MOT test station at Francis Street Services and we are now able to accommodate testing of commercial vehicles weighing between 3 and 3,5 tonne design gross weight such as vans and high tops.

While Class 4 and Class 7 MOTs are overall very similar and check many of the same areas, Class 7 MOTs tests are slightly more in depth for larger vehicles. Additional checks as part of a Class 7 test include further tests on whether the tyres are suitable to carry extra weight, and brake efficiency tests for additional safety. Testing of Class 7 vehicles also requires wider loading bays, improved access and larger inspection ramp to accommodate for larger vehicles.

The test station is equipped with DVSA / GEA (Garage equipment association) approved quality testing equipment including break tester, play detector and headlight aligner.
